Wednesday night from 8pm to Midnight, Triple t plays music to suit a diverse range of musical preferences. Not the least of which is the music the Station began with at its inception. Even today, we're the only Radio Station in Townsville that caters to the CLASSICAL genre of musical entertainment.
Our Team of ‘Fine’ Music presenters draw material from their own personal collections as well as recordings donated by our listeners. They are all extremely dedicated volunteers with a passion to share their ‘Fine’ Music with our listeners.
The program enjoys a particular following of those listeners who seriously appreciate music from the old masters of the Renaissance & early to late classical eras (Telemann to Vivaldi), the Romantic period (Beethoven to Puccini) or the sound of light classics of cinema soundtracks, and we also like to present the more contemporary classical music of artists and composers of our own day and age (Gershwin, Pavarotti, Boccelli, Il Divo) etc.
As the team are actively involved in many aspects of the arts in Townsville, they are able to access national & international events such as “The Australian Festival of Chamber Music”, “The Australian Concerto & Vocal Competition”, “The Barrier Reef Orchestra”, not forgetting the world of “Dance and Live Theatre”.
Through these avenues they are able to record Interviews with the conductors, the artists and even the composers who are visiting Townsville, thus enhancing our ‘Fine’ Music Programs to make it more personal to you. Our Presenters run their own shows under chosen Titles, eg; |
