Palmer Street Jazz Festival : 2007

Townsville’s Community Radio Station

The Townsville Community Broadcasting Company Limited is the licensee of Radio Station 103.9 triple t. It broadcasts from a 20,000 watt transmitter on Mount Stuart and was Townsville’s first FM station, going to air in 1981 as 4ttt-fm.  In August 2006 the station changed its on air name to 103.9 triple t with the slogan of “Unforgettable”, an indication of the music and memories we play.

Glen MinternWelcome to our triple t website.  We hope you like the look as much as we do. I would like to take the opportunity of thanking Tim Donovan for donating his time and experience to create our website, he has done a fantastic job.

In 2007 triple t celebrates 25 years of operation in Townsville and Thuringowa.  We have had a great history in the twin cities and look forward to that continuing in the years to come.

More recently we have seen some great changes with our new logo, the addition of the CH 7 Local News simulcast weeknights from 6, renovations to our on air studios, increased training for our volunteers and of course the purchase of our Community Events bus which was made possible by great corporate support and the amazing support of our dedicated listeners.

We are also looking forward to the growth of our triple t Palmer Street Jazz Festival, something we have run in Townsville for over 10 years.  The festival is now seen as a major event in Townsville and we see it becoming even more well known around the Country as well as overseas.

We constantly review our programming to continue our motto “Diversity With Tolerance”.  To that end we appreciate your feedback and I welcome your comments at anytime on our office number 07 4721 5333

Thanks for being a part of 103.9 triple t, Townsville’s Community Radio Station
